Received it by crossing the varieties "Forest Beauty" and "11-11-169" (resistant to winter, parents: "Severyanka", "Rossoshanskaya early", "Merezhka") in 1974. The authors of the variety are: Sedov E.N., Krasova N.G., Kuznetsova A.G., Dolmatov E.A.Nerussa pear variety on a state trial period, grown in private garden plots. Can be cultivated on farms and on an industrial scale.
Pear Nerussa: variety description and characteristics
The tree of the Nerussus pear is large and grows quickly. The crown is in the form of a pyramid, medium dense. The main branches are curved, grow at an acute angle, they are covered with numerous ringlets. The bark covering the trunk and main branches is smooth, dark gray in color.
Shoots are medium in thickness, with knees, bend in the form of an arc, have a facet in diameter, brown in color, not pubescent. The buds are bent, there is pubescence, in the form of a cone. The leaves are green in color, of medium size, oblong, long, sharp at the ends, glossy, smooth, there is a gentle nerve, not pubescent. The leaf plate is concave, the edge of the leaf is in a small denticle, in the form of a large wave. The petiole is elongated, not pubescent.
The flower buds of the Nerussa pear tree are smooth, in the form of a cone, of medium size. Flowers are white, small, petals with roundness, appressed, stigma of the pistil at the same height or slightly higher than the anthers.

The inner content of the Nerussus pear is creamy, tender, half oily, juicy, sweet-sour, weak aromatic properties. The fruits contain sugars (7.6%), titratable acids (0.23%), ascorbic acid (6.9 mg per hundred grams), P-active substances - one hundred and eight mg per hundred grams.
Technical ripeness occurs in the last days of August and the first days of September; fruit can be consumed until the 15th of November.
The yield indicator for the Nerussa pear variety is worthy, every year, a tree of ten to twelve years gives fifty to sixty kg of pears. The variety on the Oryol territory is quite resistant to the winter season, it has immunity to diseases such as scab.
