Pear Long-awaited was bred by four breeders: Zhavoronkov P.A., Bolotova L.I., Mazunin M.A., Danilova A.L. The variety is intended for cultivation in the region of Western Siberia, but is also grown in the Ural region. This is a hybrid of "Forest Beauty" and "Ussuriyskaya 78". The harvest of the pear variety Long-awaited ripens by the end of October.

Pear tree The long-awaited small size, an adult plant stretches up to four and a half, five meters. The crown is oval-flattened, of medium density. Shoots grow at an acute angle relative to the trunk. The surface of the bark is scaly, tin-colored. The type of fruit formation is predominant.

Skeletal branches are of medium size, curved, brownish, slightly elbowed. The trunk is covered with small oblong tubercles, yellow in color. The kidneys are not large, conical in shape. The leaf plates are larger than medium in size, rounded, with pointed ends, the top is wrapped with a screw, marsh-green, glossy, smooth on both sides. The leaves are slightly folded inward along the central vein, flat. The edges of the leaf plate are finely serrated. The petiole is elongated and thin.

Pears Long awaited smaller than average size, weight varies from 60 to 90 grams, irregular, ovoid, slightly shiny. The rind is dense, but not thick, slightly rough with a waxy layer. Ripe fruits are marsh-yellow in color with a slight orange-red blush; with the onset of consumer maturity, they acquire a yellow color, keeping the blush, which becomes brighter. The entire surface of the peel is covered with subcutaneous specks in large quantities, the size is medium, the color is ashy, visually well distinguishable. The funnel is almost invisible or absent. The peduncle is strongly elongated, of medium diameter, and stands straight. There is no saucer, and the cup is half-closed, not falling.
The pulp of a pear of the Long-awaited variety is grainy, white-beige in color, abundantly saturated with juice, the taste is sour-sweet. The score for taste and appearance is four points.

The crop gives its first harvest in the sixth or seventh year from the moment of planting in a permanent place. Fruiting is not entirely stable and can vary in quantity and weight. Yield indicators are high up to thirty-five kilograms from one tree.
Pear variety Long-awaited very hardy. There are data on plantings in '68, which survived two seasons of the most severe cold winter 68/69 and 78/79. Freezing of these specimens was only two points.
Pear Long-awaited has a high immunity to scab, but it can be affected by a gall mite, which will not damage it much.
