Pear Dicolor: variety description
Pear Dicolor bred by Czech breeders by crossing Kolonicka pear with pear Williams.
The Dicolor pear variety compares favorably with other varieties in the level of yield, as well as its regularity - this pear begins to bear fruit every year. In addition, it is a fast-growing variety, the first harvest can be removed already for 2-3 years. True, there is one caveat, in order to obtain such an early harvest, it is recommended to grow this variety on a quince rootstock. This is also true in connection with the growth rate of the tree.
The Dicolor pear tree has a crown of medium density, flattened, with branches branching at a large angle. At the beginning of its growing season, it requires active bending of the branches.
Dicolor pear is very resistant to diseases caused by fungi, including scab, and can easily tolerate low temperatures. But at the same time, she is often affected by a monial burn.

Dicolor pears are harvested at the end of September-October. Dicolor pears, subject to storage rules, can retain their presentation until the end of winter, and when placed in gas chambers, even until mid-spring.
Dicolor pear fruits have a classic cone shape, the weight of one specimen is in the range of 130-180g, although there are some representatives reaching a weight of 300g.
The main color of pears is yellow, with a red coat filling most of the fruit. The cover color becomes brighter and richer as the fruit ripens. Pear skin is smooth, without "rust", slightly oily to the touch.
The taste is harmonious, very pleasant, with a slight sourness. The pulp is light cream in color, has small grains, with a high content of juice, the aroma is pronounced.
In conclusion, it is worth noting that the Dicolor pear variety has excellent characteristics, both in terms of taste of the fruit, and in terms of agricultural technology, which makes it worthy to take a place in your garden. By the way, young seedlings of Dicolor pear can be planted both in spring and autumn, avoiding the period of stable frosty days.
