An unknown plant was identified by F.I.Glinshchikova in 1969 on a garden plot near the Amur River. Dedova's pear is recommended for cultivation in the Far East, is not very popular yet, but it can become it in the south of the Amur territory, in the Khabarovsk and Primorye regions.

Dedov's pear tree of medium height. In a young pear, the crown is straight, in an adult it is wide, round, lush. The bark covering the trunk and skeletal branches is dark gray. Skeletal branches are arranged vertically and obliquely. The shoot from the side of the sun is pinkish-brown, with knees, elongated, rather thickened, with edges, shortened internodes, not pubescent. The buds are dark brown in color, deviate, in the form of a cone. Leaves in the form of an ellipse, elongated, deviated to the side, painted in a dark green color, edges with denticles. The sheet plate bends like a screw along a central vein. The surface is glossy, soft, not pubescent. The petiole is shortened. The inflorescence contains many flowers, a saucer-shaped corolla, white petals, their edges are whole, not closed, the stigma is slightly higher than the stamens.
Features of the variety
Pears of the Dedova variety are small in size, of different sizes, shortened, in the form of a standard pear, with different sides and diameters, the shape is even, there is a slight ribbing. The surface is smooth, the main coloring is yellow, there is no blush. The peel is smooth, tender, oily during storage, the surface is rusty in a small number of pears in the form of specks (less than fifteen percent). There is no funnel, the saucer is small, not narrow, the edges are wrinkled, the calyx is half closed, the tube under the calyx and the axial cavity are small. The core is large. The seeds are dark brown. The inner content is light yellow, the taste is sweet-sour, soft, delicate. The evaluation of the marketability of the fruit is four and a half points, the evaluation of the tasting is the same. Fruits contain dry matter (twenty-one percent), acids (0.46%), sugars (ten and a half percent), ascorbic acid (four mg per hundred grams).
The crop is harvested on September 10-20. Dedov's pear variety of medium ripeness, autumn, fruits are less than sixty days old. Pears practically do not crumble, marketable properties are decent, a variety of universal purpose, you can process it as you like.
