There is a breeding station in Dagestan, where a new variety was developed, adapted for canning. The new species was named Betaluskaya pear. We got it in a natural way, naturally by pollination, it is worth clarifying that it happened freely, a summer variety Klap's favorites.
Now the Betalusskaya pear variety is undergoing trials, and based on the results of the study, we will find out whether the variety will become officially confirmed. The tests are taking place in the mountainous regions of the Caucasus.
Pear Betaluskaya: description of the variety and characteristics
The tree is quite tall, five meters is not the limit for it. As with all varieties of pears, the crown is lush and resembles a pyramid in shape. But the variety bears fruit in two ways: on simple and complex cuttings.
Crank-type shoots, painted in dark red, closer to burgundy color. They are massive, thick and long.
Leaves are elongated. The leaf blade is quite wide, resembling an egg in shape. Small ones are serrated along the edges with a leaf, the leaves themselves are painted in a dark green color. The leaf has a petiole of medium length and width, speckled with elongated, lanceolate, large stipules.
The fruit of the Betalluska variety pear is not very large. The maximum is one hundred and fifty grams, and on average one hundred ten one hundred and fifteen.
They resemble a light bulb in shape, only slightly flattened. Therefore, the shape is called wide pear-shaped. The fruits are the same, evenly spaced, colored green-yellow. The sides are pinkish, as if toasty.
Features of the variety
The Betaluska pear has a long and thick peduncle, a medium-sized calyx, and a large funnel-shaped tube.
The seed chambers are not large, small. The seeds themselves are all as one, even, smooth, pointed from above.
Their pulp is tasty, white, juicy. It tastes sweet or sweet and sour. The meatiness of the fruit is the very thing for canning.
Experts note that the fruits meet all technical and dessert requirements.
Since the variety is summer, it is removed on the 10th of August. But the fruits are not adapted for long-term storage, therefore, the maximum, how long the fruits can lie, is 1.5-2 weeks. The advantage of the fetus is its ability without interference in the fourth or fifth year after planting.
You can harvest 150-250 kilograms from one tree annually. The Betalluska pear variety has high winter-hardy qualities and good resistance to fungal diseases.
