Heptapleurum: description of the indoor flower
Heptapleurum is considered to be a rapidly growing herbaceous, related to the representative of the genus Aralievye. Approximately ten leaves extend from the petioles. Glossy foliage has an oval shape, and towards the end it has a slight sharpness. The flowers have a shape in the form of panicles and a snow-white color, but at home, the flowering process is extremely rare. Under natural conditions, this herbaceous can be seen in all southern regions of our planet. The native land of this plant is the territory of Tropical Asia. There are three known varieties of this herb:
- Geisha Girl is a woody variety with round greenish foliage.
- "Hayata" - the foliage has a grayish color.
- "Variegata" - this variety is considered the owner of variegated foliage.
Heptapleurum is quite similar to the sheffler because they are close relatives of the herbaceous. Because of this, it is possible to simply confuse them. An important difference is that the schiffler grows only as a tree, and for this representative of herbaceous crops it is possible to change the growing point on the main branch, and then the plant forms a shrub with a large number of shoots. If this procedure is performed with a sheffler, then the herbaceous one will not stand and die. The leaves of this representative of herbaceous crops also have an aroma that slightly resembles geranium, but the Scheffler does not have such specificity.
Heptapleurum: home care

Heptapleurum is herbaceous, unpretentious and non-capricious. This means that the plant can be cultivated without problems in the realities of urban living quarters.
How to moisturize correctly?
It is necessary to moisturize Geptapleurum in warm seasons enough. But please note that the liquid should not stagnate in the soil, as it can cause the foliage to fall. It is necessary that the soil dries well between humidifications. In the winter season, the herbaceous state of rest is noticeable, which means it is worth slightly reducing the moisture.
The required amount of light and site selection
Indoor Heptapleurum is very fond of light, but it needs to have partial shade from direct sunlight (especially on very hot days in the summer season). Figures with variegated foliage especially require bright light, because from a lack of lighting, the leaves can turn entirely greenish. Usually used to form compositions with other domestic herbaceous, it feels amazing in the winter garden, and it is also possible to decorate an office or bedroom with plants. This herbaceous needs to be sheltered from drafts and strong winds. With this option, if there are often drafts in the living room where this plant stands, then the herbaceous one will begin to throw off its foliage.
Required temperature level
During warm seasons, it is necessary to maintain a moderate temperature regime. With the beginning of the winter season, it should be slightly reduced, but at the same time it should not be less than seventeen degrees.
Required moisture level in the air
Heptapleurum requires a high level of humidity in the air. This means that the leaves must be sprayed as often as possible, and sometimes the leaves must be washed (as a hygienic procedure). If the moisture level in the air is too low, then the foliage will begin to dry out and fall.
Earth mix
For planting Heptapleurum, it is possible to buy ready-made earthen mixture in all special supermarkets. It is also possible to make an earthen mixture with your own hands at home. To do this, the summer resident needs to mix sheet soil, humus, peat and sod soil and pour river sand. Everything must be taken in identical proportions.
Specificity of changing the place of growth

It is required to carry out the procedure for changing the place of growth of Heptapleurum every year in the spring season. In this case, if this representative of herbaceous crops has sufficiently large dimensions, it will be quite problematic to plant the plant in a new place. With this option, summer residents with experience are advised to carefully change the topsoil. Remember to have a good drainage layer.
Pruning
Large, overgrown Heptapleurums require regular pruning. This procedure is performed during the spring season. Those representatives of herbaceous crops that grow as a tree need a powerful support, because in urban realities they can reach two meters in height.
Fertilizer
Fertilizing Geptapleurum is in the spring and summer seasons once every fourteen days. For this, natural or mineral supplements are used. In the winter season, top dressing should not be placed in the ground.
Various parasites
A mealy worm, a red spider mite and aphids can form. But this only happens with the wrong agricultural technology.
Heptapleurum: reproduction

It is quite easy to propagate Heptapleurum using cuttings that are cut from the top. To adapt, they should be planted in soil containing peat and sand. Then the cuttings should be moved to a partially shaded place and endowed with the necessary level of moisture, as well as warmth.
Heptapleurum is also propagated using the seed method. Sowing seed material is carried out in a loose and warm soil. And then they remove the container and move it to a warm room with a high level of humidity. After the seedlings grow up, they change their place of growth in various containers of small dimensions.
Heptapleurum has a rather unusual appearance, which means that the plant can decorate almost all rooms. Because Geptapleurum is not capricious in agricultural technology and unpretentious, it will simply be grown by summer residents without experience, who are new to gardening.
