Dahlia Figaro: instructions for growing
Dahlia Figaro mix is grown only by seeds. It is worth considering that the landing is carried out in stages and strictly according to the instructions.
- First you need to prepare containers where the seedlings will grow. If using plastic containers, they must be prepared in advance. Preparation consists in making small holes at the bottom of the container through which excess moisture will leave and oxygen will pass. These holes will serve as a drainage system in this container. The plastic container is filled with planting mixture.
If you plan to plant in pots, then rinse them well with a special product or regular soap. Without thorough washing, dirt that remains in the pot can cause illness. - Then you need to prepare the seeds, for this they should be put in a solution of water and aloe juice for 8-9 hours. The solution is prepared in a 3: 1 ratio. This treatment is optional, but it will help the seeds develop faster and have a stronger immune system.
- After preparing the container and seeds, they must be planted in the ground and covered.
- For the best effect, the ground is covered with foil or glass. At the same time, heat will be retained and the seeds will sprout faster. The container with seeds should be left for 3-4 days in a warm place.
- After a few days, shoots will begin to form under the film, but you should not remove the shelter ahead of time. The film is removed when the sprouts have reached at least 1 centimeter and it must be taken into account that there is no sun. After all, the sun can damage the sprouts. Therefore, before you remove the film, take the container to a room where there is no sunlight.
- After the sprouts become stronger, it is necessary to transplant the sprouts into separate containers. A pick will help the plant develop without problems. Otherwise, the plant will grow very thin, as the sprouts will interfere with each other's development. Transplanting should be carried out in sod soil, as this will contribute to the good development of a strong plant.
- After the plant takes root in a new place, you need to add a small amount of fertilizer to the pot. For this, any complex feeding can be used. It is necessary to use 1.5 times less feeding than what is written in the instructions.
- Dahlia grows fast enough, therefore, in order for the plant to grow in the future, it is better to pinch it when more than 6 leaves appear, this is done at the level of 4-5 leaves.
- After some time, the dahlias will fully grow stronger and will be ready to be transplanted to an open place. Transplanting into open ground should be carried out only in warm weather, only there should be no aggressive sunlight so that burns do not appear on the plant.
Note: Before transplanting, it is necessary to harden the plant a little for 7-14 days. To do this, it must be placed on the balcony, in the fresh air, so that the plant slowly gets used to it. First, the dahlia is left in the fresh air for 30-40 minutes, then every day the time is increased to 24 hours.
