Violet Rosemary belongs to the Saintpaulia variety, which is a popular plant. It is grown only at home. The violet variety Rosemary is considered the most beautiful species in this family, as it is distinguished by the splendor and beauty of its buds. Very often, Saintpaulia is confused with a violet, so people are used to calling Rosemary a violet.

Other varieties differ from this variety. Rosemary differs from the rest in the very bright color of the petals, as well as in the lush buds that adorn the balcony or windowsill. On average, the diameter of the bud is about 7 centimeters, and one peduncle forms 4 such buds. The petals of the flower have a wavy edge, which also makes Rosemary stand out. The color of the variety can be varied, you can find monochromatic petals of bright colors, you can see various patterns on the petals. Most often, there are dots, stripes or small streaks of white, black or purple. It is very common to find such a combination of colors as pink petals and a bright yellow center, while there is a white border on the wavy edges. The rarest colors are blue and shades of blue.
In adulthood, the violet of the LE Rosemary variety does not have large peduncles, which makes the pitchfork of the plant more accurate and increases its attractiveness. The leaves have an emerald color that adorns the buds and looks very harmonious together. I would like to note that the edges of the sheet also have a wavy cut.
Note: If you take good care of the plant, the flowering process will continue for a whole year.
Violet Rosemary: growing and care

Before planting a rosemary violet, you need to prepare the place, as well as set the correct lighting, temperature and humidity. All these criteria must be taken into account, otherwise the plant will not be able to take root and die. Violet Rosemary belongs to the varieties that love lighting, so there should be a lot of light. The only thing to consider is that direct rays have a detrimental effect on the plant, so the LE Rosemary violet variety must be protected from them. If direct rays act on the plant, then burns will appear on the violet, which will develop into ulcers and it will be impossible to cure them. Usually, in this case, the plant dies. Therefore, the best place for the plant will be a western or eastern location, it is there that the diffused light is located. With the onset of winter time, the lighting becomes less, so you need to start using lamps that will serve as light. On average, the plant lasts 12 hours under light.
Temperature is also an important criterion when growing LE Rosemary violets. It should be within 21-22 degrees, while the air humidity should be no more than 58%. If the temperature is below the limit, then the process of rotting in the root system will begin, this process will spread to the whole plant and this will lead to a bad result. If the temperature is higher, the surface of the flower will be dry, sluggish and the plant will look painful. Experienced flower growers recommend rearranging the plant at the beginning of autumn; it is usually rearranged to a warmer place in the room.
Note: I would like to note that temperature changes will affect the LE Rosemary violet with nightmarish consequences, therefore it is recommended to keep the temperature within normal limits. The consequences will be the cessation of flowering and death.
How to transplant LE Rosemary violet?
The LE Rosemary violet must be grown in the correct size pots. They should not be large, since in such a container the development of the root system is inhibited, as well as the process of bud formation and flowering itself. In the best case, the pot will be two sizes smaller than its outlet. At the same time, there should be holes at the bottom of the pot that will serve as a small drainage. After completely filling the space in the pot, the plant begins the process of bud formation, after which flower stalks and buds begin to appear.
Note: If the rosemary violet was bought in a store or nursery already in bloom, then the transplant should be postponed to a later time.
It is necessary to transplant the plant only into well-prepared soil. Before transplanting, it must be fertilized with complex fertilizing or wood ash. After applying the fertilizer, it is necessary to loosen the soil well so that it becomes light and conducts oxygen without obstacles. Very often, gardeners buy ready-made nutrient soil, in which everything is added in the right proportions.
You can transplant a plant in any season, this will not affect the plant in any way, if the temperature and air humidity are observed.
Before planting, it is necessary to lay a drainage system at the bottom of the slide, consisting of broken brick, pebbles or expanded clay. Then a nutritious soil is placed and the plant is planted in a pot. If you want the plant to quickly enter the stage of active growth, then add a little phosphate or nitrogen fertilization to the soil. They have a good effect on the growth and development of the plant.
Watering.
Care is one of the most important criteria after planting LE Rosemary violets. In no case should we forget about it, since it is an integral part of the whole process. It is imperative to water the plant, apply fertilizer, and also prune. Usually, a sanitary pruning will suffice for a violet, which consists in simply getting rid of various dry and weak leaves or parts of the plant. Watering is in the first place in importance.
Water the plant about 4 times in 10 days. In this case, a moderate amount of moisture should be introduced, otherwise, rot will begin to develop in the root area and the Rosemary violet will die. When watering, warm water should be used, which has been infused for about a week. Ideally, growers filter the water for their plants, but this is an optional process.
Watering the rosemary violet can be done in the upper and lower ways. Only when watering from above is it necessary to pour water very carefully so that it poured onto the edge of the container. Also, it should be noted that water should not fall on the foliage or buds of the plant. When watering from below, water is poured strictly under the root system of the plant. Sometimes a technique is used when water is poured to the bottom of the pot and the plant itself consumes the right amount of moisture.
Fertilization.
The next step in the care is fertilization. During the whole year, it is necessary to make additional fertilizing for good growth and functioning of the plant. Rosemary will begin to bloom after the end of winter, and until that moment it is necessary to feed the root system, time for complex feeding or nitrogen fertilization. Before the bud formation process begins, it is necessary to make a top dressing with a high phosphorus content. Phosphorus is a substance that allows a plant to bloom all year round, without losing the brightness of its color. All fertilizers and fertilizers can be purchased in specialized stores that are dedicated to the garden or vegetable garden. Fertilizers are sometimes found in nurseries where different varieties of plants are bred.
Many experienced gardeners add complex feeding 7-9 days after the previous one is added, but they do it, reducing the amount by 2-3 times. Such feeding has a positive effect on the plant, and each time it nourishes the soil with the necessary microelements.
Fertilizer can be applied foliarly, that is, by spraying. But in this case, the cold air flow and ultraviolet rays should not fall on the plant. Otherwise, the plant will be burned.
How to reproduce?
Violet LE Rosemary can be propagated by cuttings or using seeds.
Propagating a plant by seeds is a very time-consuming and complex process, therefore it is very rarely chosen. For example, when a variety is so rare that it can only be propagated by seed, but Rosemary is not such a variety, propagation by cuttings is therefore recommended. When grafting, the leaves of the flower are used, which must be cut off at an angle of 50 degrees. All cuts should be done with a sharp knife or a special garden pruner for cutting branches and leaves. All cut leaves are placed in a nutritious soil. The soil should be in a container that is no more than 8 centimeters wide. When propagating, it is recommended to use purchased soil. After some time, the root system will begin to form, after the appearance of the root, the plant must be transplanted to a permanent place. After the plant is transplanted, you must begin to actively care for it. Care is very important for a young plant, as well as proper lighting, temperature and humidity. Without all the components, Rosemary will not take root in a new place. If the plant does not develop, although all the planting criteria are met, then this means an incorrectly selected pot, which in the near future must be replaced with a smaller one.
Disease and pest control

During the year, it is necessary to carry out treatment with fungicides and Bordeaux liquid. These drugs will help the plant fight diseases and pests. If drugs are used as a prophylaxis, then it is worth reducing the concentration of the solution by 2-3 times. And when treating a disease, you must follow the instructions of the drug.
Note: With proper care of the rosemary violet and the planting criteria are met, the plant will bloom all year round, and delight its owner.
