Violet Magenta: description of the variety and characteristics

Violet Magenta is similar to other varieties, but at the same time it has small features that separate it from other flowers. Magenta appeared 10 years ago and is still very popular for its appearance, aroma, flowering and color. The view of Magenta is very beautiful, huge fringed flowers adorn absolutely any house with their presence. The color of the petals is usually burgundy, but sometimes purple or wine shades are found. Each flower has a small white border around the edge of the petal. This color is one of the differences from other violets.
The second characteristic feature is the long flowering process, which lasts 70-90 days. Each peduncle is very hard, as it has a strong structure, because of this there are 4-6 large buds on it. The diameter of each color reaches up to centimeters. I would like to note that even in the first year after planting violets, LE Magenta will bring a large number of flowers, this is very beneficial for the gardener.
The foliage of the violet Magenta is large and has a long stalk. One side of the leaf has a slight silver sheen, while the leaf itself is light green in color. It is this side that eventually loses its ebb and becomes a little pinkish in color. Every year, all the foliage changes in color, it becomes a deep green hue.
Violet Magenta: growing and care

Before planting violets of the LE Magenta variety, it is necessary to study well the criteria that must be met, since without them the plant will not be able to develop and bloom normally.
First, you need to pay attention to the lighting, which should be bright and diffused, this factor is very important for Magenta. Thanks to this light, the plant will function well, increase the mass of foliage, the leaves will be soft and healthy, and the flowering period can increase to 3 months. At the same time, it is strictly forbidden to place the plant in direct sunlight, which will burn the plant. Direct illumination causes burns on the surface of the leaves, which subsequently become more and more and the plant cannot cope with this, thereby dying. For Magenta, about 10-11 hours of lighting will be enough. And the flower can spend the remaining time in the dark.
In summer, the plant should be placed on the windowsill of the east or west, and in winter, it is best to put it in the southern part of the house.
Temperature and humidity.
Violet Magenta belongs to heat lovers, therefore, for growth, Magenta needs the correct thermal regime, about 20-23 degrees. In very cold winters, the plant pot must be carefully wrapped in polystyrene foam to provide the plant with extra warmth. Also during this period, it is recommended to rearrange the plant in the southern part of the apartment. There should be no cold air and drafts near the flower, since they can cause the plant to get sick and die.
The amount of moisture in the air is also an important criterion when planting and growing this variety. Magente has enough air humidity of 55-65%.If you need to increase the humidity, you can spray the area around the pot with warm water, or you can purchase a humidifier for plants, which is purchased from specialized stores.
The soil.
Variety of violets LE Magenta develops well both in store and in self-prepared soil. Therefore, planting can be carried out in absolutely any soil. You can purchase a soil mixture at a nursery that propagates other plants or in a specialty store that focuses on the theme of the garden and vegetable garden. To prepare the soil yourself, you need to add wood ash to the ground, and also add a small amount of peat, moss, humus and foliage. All soil is well mixed into a homogeneous mixture. To disinfect the soil, it is necessary to warm it up well; for this, the soil is placed in an oven for 20 minutes at 200 degrees.
Capacity for planting.
Most often, planting is carried out in clay pots. It is in such a container that the plant feels comfortable and develops its root system well. Also, clay is considered harmless to the plant itself, therefore it is often used for planting. The only thing to choose in a pot is its size and width. It is these criteria that must correspond to the size of the root system. This variety is recommended to be planted in large pots, since, due to the large excess space, the plant will try with all its might to fill it, thereby spending all the nutrients on the elongation and thinning of the roots. This will result in a short flowering process as well as a sluggish appearance of the flower.
Watering.
It is necessary to water the Magenta violets several times a week, about 2-3. In this case, the water should be clean, settled and warm, 23 degrees. When watering, root watering is most often used, since the leaves cannot be watered due to the fact that they have villi that hold water on them. The water cannot evaporate, so the leaf plate may start to rot.
There are several ways to water the LE Magenta violet. The most used are bottom, drip and wick irrigation. With bottom watering, the earth is saturated with water when the pot is dipped into a container with a large one. Using this method, the roots of the plant absorb the required amount of water. For drip irrigation, use syringes or a watering can with an elongated spout. The watering can is placed exactly above the root and watering is carried out. For wick watering, a rope and pot holes are used. This rope is placed in the hole, the rest of the rope is placed in the water.
Fertilization.
Fertilizers should be applied once every 14-18 days. Moreover, during the dormant period, which lasts 3 months (November-February), feeding is not carried out. It is best to use ready-made complex fertilizers as fertilizers, which contain all the necessary micronutrients. During active growth, fertilizers containing large amounts of phosphorus and nitrogen can be used. It is these components that are responsible for the development of the plant and its internal functioning. Sometimes wood ash and a small amount of humus can be added to the soil.
Transplantation.
It is necessary to replant the plant once a year, this is very important, as the plant develops and the size of the roots increases. Therefore, the size of the pot must be changed annually. The Magenta should be transplanted in March, before the hot days begin. Hot weather is bad for the plant, and early spring is great for this process. It was during this period that the plants have already come out of dormancy and can be touched. Also, the process of bud formation has not yet begun and the plant after transplantation will enter the stage of active growth during this period, so the first flowers will appear soon.
Transplant instructions.
- To begin with, you need to install a drainage system at the bottom of the pot. Pebbles, expanded clay or broken brick can act as drainage.
- After installing the drainage, it is necessary to lay the soil mixed with peat and ash.
- The root system of the plant is established in the ground, the roots are straightened and covered with soil.
- The earth must be tamped a little, then loosened up. This must be done very carefully so as not to hurt the roots of the plant.
After transplanting, it is necessary to provide the flower with quality care. You cannot water the plant for 2-3 days after transplanting.
How are diseases treated?

Violet of Magenta variety has high immunity, therefore it rarely gets sick. But sometimes pests may appear on the plant, which must be immediately disposed of. They begin to devour the plant from the outside and from the inside, so treatment is a very important process. For treatment, fungicides or Bordeaux liquid are used.
Bordeaux liquid is also used as a prophylaxis, only the concentration decreases by 2-3 times.
With good care and regular check-ups, the Magenta violet will not hurt. Also, the appearance of the violet Magenta will remain colorful and will delight the owner's eye.
