Dudleya (Dudleya) - this plant belongs to the family Crassula. It first appeared in the territories of Mexico and California.
Doodle is a succulent species. In its basal rosettes with a diameter of 30 to 45 centimeters, juicy, flat wide leaves are formed, painted in light green colors or having a white waxy coating, which allows water to stay on their surface longer. Leaves on some plant species turn burgundy at their ends when given enough light. When the flowering of the Doodle succulent begins, a large number of flowers painted in red, yellow or orange-red shades are released on a high peduncle. The formation of the peduncle occurs next to the leaf rosette.
The plant grows up to half a meter.

Suitable temperature:
During the spring-summer period, Dudley prefers to be in conditions where the thermometer does not drop below 21 degrees. In winter, the plant should be in a cooler room with a temperature of 10 degrees. Doodle varieties, whose leaves have a waxy coating, are able to withstand a greater drop in temperatures.
Light:
Dudleya likes to grow in well-lit areas, or in partial shade. The plant should not be in direct sunlight during the noon hours in summer.
During a warm season, the doodle can be transferred to the garden, to terraces or balconies, but direct sunlight should not fall on it.
Suitable soil:
Dudleya is not picky about the soil and can grow almost everywhere, but he loves soils with a neutral level of acidity and well-drained. Ready-made earthen mixtures intended for growing a cactus will be ideal.
Fertilization:
Top dressing is carried out regularly, during the period of vegetative activity, with an interval of 30 days. For feeding, fertilizers with which cacti are fed are suitable, only they should be used half as much. When the plant enters the resting stage, fertilization stops.
Bloom:
The flowering of the Doodle succulent begins in the summer and lasts for a long time.
Required humidity:
In the spring and summer, you do not need to spray the Doodle. In the winter season, spraying can be done in the morning, replacing watering with it. This will protect the outlet from drying out throughout the day.
Watering:
When the plant is actively growing it should be watered regularly and in moderation. It is necessary to water so that the soil can be well saturated with moisture. They must be carried out after the soil has dried. In the winter months, watering is necessary rarely, but the earthen coma should not dry out. To prevent the plant from beginning to rot, liquid must not be allowed to enter the outlet.
When to transplant:
Dudleya does not need to be repotted annually, as it is suitable for soils with low levels of nutrients. It will be enough once every three years. It is necessary to carry out a similar procedure in the spring.

Doodle succulent can be propagated using seeds, daughter rosettes and green cuttings.
In the first case, you need to use fresh seeds. During planting, they do not need to be deepened, it is enough to scatter them over the surface of the soil, and then cover them with a film. The container should be in a well-lit place, but the sun's rays should not touch it. As soon as shoots appear, the shelter must be removed, but little by little, to allow the plants to get used to it.
Propagating the plant with the help of cuttings, it is imperative to process the cut sites with activated carbon and dry them, and then plant them in the ground.
Diseases and harmful insects
Doodleu succulent can attack aphids and mealybugs. As for diseases, improper care can lead to them, namely, excessive watering and stagnation of liquid in the soil. All this can provoke the development of putrefactive diseases in which the leaves lose their elasticity. A disease such as powdery mildew may appear due to waterlogging.
Outcome
With proper care, the Doodle can decorate a house for up to 100 years.
