- resistance to adverse influences from the outside, to attacks from pests, to diseases and bacteria also increases, and this is a huge plus. In addition, the plant becomes more resistant to frost or sudden changes in temperature;
- immunity increases markedly, special protection is created against the most common and rare diseases and pathogenic bacteria;
- flowering intensifies and, accordingly, the ovaries are formed in large numbers, strong. In addition, it may not be so obvious, but the use of yeast as an additive allows you to improve the taste of the plant's fruits, which is extremely important, because every gardener wants to get a tasty, healthy and efficient harvest that can be enjoyed for a long time, up to until late autumn.
It is recommended to use yeast no more than three times a season, and you should also follow the instructions in the recipe and instructions, since the willful use of yeast can also negatively affect the plant, its condition, and quality. The first yeast feeding should be done about a couple of weeks after the plant has been picked. This will allow the seedlings to quickly adapt to new conditions, to get stronger after stress. In addition, as we noted earlier, yeast allows you to build up green mass, which means that the plant will be saturated with substances and trace elements that are so vital for it.
The second feeding with yeast is carried out one and a half weeks after the seedlings are planted either in greenhouse conditions, or in the open ground itself.Fertilizer allows you to increase the biological power of the plant. It adapts more quickly to these conditions. In addition, it is worth noting that yeast can significantly slow down the effects of other fungal components and bacteria, infections. For example, tomatoes are under reliable protection from late blight, and cucumbers after yeast processing may not be afraid of gray rot.

Making fertilizer from yeast
Yeast is rarely used in its usual form: gardeners use yeast starter to treat the plot and plants. For its preparation, both dry and fresh yeast are used, and some other components are also added to enhance the effect. Yeast should be dissolved exclusively in warm water, its temperature should not be higher than 27 degrees.
There are several basic recipes for yeast feeding:
- a kilogram of fresh yeast should be diluted in five liters of water, the liquid is very actively shaken and left to infuse for about one hour. The yeast starter culture is also diluted with water immediately before watering in accordance with the proportion that is intended for individual crops;
- 100 grams of yeast must be poured with a liter of milk, mix all this and infuse for two hours. Then the volume must be brought to about ten liters. Such a solution with yeast and milk not only nourishes the plants, their root and upper parts, but also effectively protects against various diseases that are spread by fungi or pests.
Another way - you can take about half a kilogram of fresh yeast, three hundred grams of ash and 2 kilograms of fresh mullein. A bucket of nettles is added as one of the stimulants. All this is filled with forty liters of water and infused in a sunny place for about 10-14 days. The concentrated solution is diluted in accordance with the proportions that are intended for one or another crop.
You can use 10 grams of dry yeast (those sold in small food bags), 50 grams of sugar, and 10 liters of water. Also, for growth and acceptance by the soil, about 150-200 grams of ash are added to the solution. All this should ferment for three hours, after which the concentrate is diluted in accordance with a 1: 5 ratio. It is best to dilute with warm water or water at room temperature, since it is one of the most ideal options for irrigation, and cold water is completely unsuitable.
In five liters of water, you can dilute 10 grams of dry yeast, 30 grams of sugar and half a package of ascorbic acid (five tablets). You can add a handful of soil to the same solution and leave for about a day in a dark and dry place.This infusion is diluted in 10 liters of water immediately before feeding, and it is best to carry out sub-root treatment with this solution, preventing the agent from getting on the leaves or stems.
Yeast can also be mixed with chicken droppings, ash, and sugar. All this is poured with water and insisted for several hours. You should get a concentrated infusion, which is then diluted with water at room temperature and this solution is introduced into the aisle. Top dressing should be very carefully applied, since chicken droppings tend to leave burns, so you should not make foliar dressing, and also make a diluted solution under the root itself. The distance from the root to the fertilized area is about ten centimeters.

For the first time, feeding is carried out even for seedlings, when the first leaves have already appeared on the same cucumbers or tomatoes. The next two dressings are carried out a few weeks after the plant has been planted in a greenhouse or outdoors, just before flowering. There are several rules and recommendations, adhering to which you can correctly introduce yeast fertilizing, without disturbing the vital activity of the plant at all.
So, before processing with yeast solutions and mixtures, it is necessary to moisten the soil with warm water, warm it up and loosen it. The solutions are best applied to the root zone, as well as spray on the green part of the plant, controlling the uniformity of the spray. Moreover, irrigation is carried out on the stems, on the inner and outer parts of the leaves. It is recommended to use top dressing not in the morning or daytime, but in the evening, since during the day the earth warms up very well in the sun, and in such an environment it is much easier for the yeast to adapt and begin its active action.
For seedlings that have been planted in the ground, only half a liter of fertilizer is enough, and if these are already mature bushes that are ready to bear fruit, then one to two liters of fertilizer can be used on them at a time.
