Kipiana black currant was obtained at the Institute of Breeding by combining two varieties: Exotic and 762-5-82 seedling. Experienced breeders became the authors of the variety, and in 2001 the plant was officially registered with a recommendation for cultivation in the Central Black Earth Region.

The Kipiana black currant bush has an average height and a fairly compact crown. The branches have a straight shape and medium thickness, as well as a green tint of the bark. Adult shoots are lignified and have an average diameter. At the top, they are bright brown and not pubescent.
The buds of the Kypian currant are arranged alternately and are small in size, and they are also characterized by a conical shape and are pointed at the ends. The upper bud is loose and has a characteristic five-lobed shape of medium size.
The surface of the leaf plate is leathery with a bright saturated green color. The vein pattern is very pronounced. Moreover, the middle blade is longer than all other blades. The edges of the leaf have a sharp top, the lateral lobes are also pointed at the ends. The leaf has an open deep groove, and the leaf is attached with a long green petiole. The flowers here are of medium size and bell-shaped. However, they do not bend very much.
The brushes are about 8 cm in size and hang down. The axle is of medium size and slightly pubescent.

One bush can produce just over a kilogram of berries. However, the fruits are suitable for mechanized harvesting.
