Cherry Zolotukhinskaya was obtained by combining such varieties of cherries as "red Leningradskaya" and "zolotaya loshitskaya" at the VNIIGiSPR named after IV Michurin. Thanks to the work of a group of specialists in breeding, namely BL Nikitin, IN Zolotukhina and GG Nikiforova, this cherry variety was obtained. Cherry variety Zolotukhinskaya has been undergoing state tests since 2006.

Cherry tree Zolotukhinskaya usually grows of ordinary size, the crown is quite spreading, the density is estimated as average. The branches are of ordinary length, the color is brown and green at the same time, there is a large number of lentils, the size is ordinary. Large leaf plates, regular oval or cone shape, light green color. The sheet plate is concave. Stipules are small. The petiole is of an ordinary size, rather thick, greenish color. Glands of ordinary size, there are in the amount of two copies, the color is yellow. Large flowers, white color.
Features of the variety
The harvest of the sweet cherry variety Zolotukhinskaya is large, most often one fruit has a mass of four point and two tenths - four point and five tenths of a gram, the shape of a regular circle. The upper part of the fruit is voluminous, the base has no depression. The fruit stem is of an ordinary size, rather thick, and can be easily removed from the branches. The fruits are bright yellow. The skin is quite dense. The color of the pulp is yellowish, plump, gristly. The juice has no color. The fruit tastes sweet and sour at the same time. The stone is well removed from the pulp. The fruits contain:
- dry soluble substances - fifteen point and eight tenths of a percent.
- sugar - fifteen percent.
- acids - eighty-three hundredths of a percent.
- ascorbic acid - ten milligrams per hundred grams of raw product.
