Cherry Rubinovaya Kuban was obtained from pollination of such a cherry variety as "early cassini" with the help of pollen of various varieties of cherries at the North Caucasian Zonal Research Institute of Horticulture and Viticulture in Krasnodar. Thanks to the work of a group of specialists in breeding, namely E.M. Alekhina, M.A.Kolesnikova and I.M.Kirechek, this cherry variety was obtained. This cherry variety passed state tests in 2001 in the North Caucasus region. Cherry Ruby Kuban has a weak distribution, most often in the southern household plots of Voronezh or Belgorod.
