Cherry Pokrovskaya Memory was obtained by breeders of the Dagestan Experimental Gardening Station. At the heart of the creation of the new variety, two varieties of sweet cherries were used - the Early Marki variety and theFranz Joseph". The sweet cherry variety Pamyat Pokrovskaya received its name in honor of its creator, breeder A.S. Pokrovskaya. The most favorable areas for the growth and fruiting of the new variety are the North Caucasus region of Russia, as well as the Rostov region, Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, and the Republic of Crimea.

An adult cherry tree of the Pamyat Pokrovskaya variety grows up to 5-6 meters and has a dense rounded crown. Young shoots for the first year of growth grow of medium thickness and have a green color. Flower buds (generative) and vegetative buds (growth) are located at a slight angle to the shoot and grow medium in size, but different in shape, flower more rounded, vegetative more pointed.

The fruits of this variety are valued for their beautiful appearance and high taste. The main directions of use of the variety are technical and dessert. Cherry variety Pamyat Pokrovskaya is used for making jams and compotes. They are actively used in the confectionery industry and are consumed fresh.

Cherry variety Pamyat Pokrovskaya belongs to the early varieties. The seedling begins to bear fruit 4-5 years after planting in a permanent place of growth and is partially self-fertile. Flowering occurs in the last decade of April, the fruits ripen at the same time and are ready for harvest in the last decade of May (the time frame is indicated for the North Caucasian region of Russia). From one tree, according to averaged data, it is possible to collect up to 25 kg and up to 83 centners per hectare.
The sweet cherry variety Pamyat Pokrovskaya has high resistance to low temperatures, as well as the resistance of opened flowers during spring frosts.The cultivar is moderately resistant to drought and high temperatures, but the constant lack of water can affect the appearance of the fruit and reduce yields.
Cherry Pokrovskaya Memory is unpretentious in care and does not require additional pruning, except for the annual sanitary. In addition, it is resistant to fungal diseases.
