Cherry Lyubimitsa Korvatsky was obtained from combining such varieties of cherries as "black April" and "yellow drogan" at the Dagestan experimental gardening station. Thanks to the work of a selection specialist, namely A.S. Pokrovskaya, this cherry variety was obtained. Cherry variety Lyubimitsa Korvatsky was added to the state register in 2002 for the North Caucasus region.
