Pineapples - growing technology, sorting
Content:
Pineapples are fruits that form from the ovary of fused flowers. For optimal growth, he needs a temperature of 23 degrees. After the harvest is harvested, it is sent to the factory for export, taking away the damaged fruit for processing.
This word "Pineapple" comes from the Hawaiian word "Nana", translated as "plant" American seafarers called it "Pineapple" because the pineapple looked like a big pine cone.
How pineapple grows
For the good development of this plant, a temperature regime of twenty-three degrees to thirty is required. Its crown collects water well from rains, and its roots are almost on the surface of the earth. The plant grows in tropical countries, where there is often dry weather and no rains for months. Such weather is very suitable for this plant for its development, because in hot weather the process of photosynthesis passes better and the pineapple begins to ripen faster.
Uncontaminated pineapple has a very thick peel with many eyes. The eyes remain from the flowers of the plant. All flowers of red - purple color go to the formation of a part of the fruit, then all the flowers begin to combine into one brush, which resembles a pine cone. This is how the pineapple trunk begins to form. As it ripens, the trunk begins to thicken, and the flowers crumble and a full-fledged pineapple is formed.
On plantations where pineapple is grown, treatment with a special gas with ethylene is carried out, this allows to accelerate the flowering of the pineapple. This treatment makes it possible to subsequently completely harvest the crop from the plantation at one time. Pineapple harvesting is considered a "thorny business" and therefore everyone who collects these fruits wears special equipment, which consists of: goggles, long-sleeved clothing and gloves.
To plant a new field with fruits, young shoots from this plant begin to be cut off. Special workers in the fields determine the quality of the plants. They select good fruit to use as an artificial crown of leaves. Then these leaf tufts begin to be selected by weight, for uniform development of the plant. 12 months after planting such an artificial crown in the soil, the new plant gives roots, and after 24 months it pleases with its fruits.
After harvesting from plantations, the fruits are sent to production, where the fruits are processed with chlorinated water in ten levels. This allows you to destroy small insects and frog eggs from the fruit. Frogs prefer to leave their eggs on the leaves of plants. Then the fruits are sorted, where the fruits are divided into first and second grades.
Pineapple - harvesting, sorting
Fruits of the 1st grade have no more than 3 damaged eyes. These pineapples are processed with hot wax, and then they are exported. This waxing prevents the pineapples from overripe.
Second grade pineapples are supplied to the market of the country of origin. Pineapples that are damaged are peeled and cut into rings. Then these rings are placed on special trays. Further, the factory workers put the trays in the oven to dry. Drying is carried out at a temperature of sixty degrees and lasts a day. After such processing, the moisture content of the rings drops immediately to six percent and the candied fruits are packed and sent to retail outlets.
