Anaphalis is very undemanding to the place of its growth. But still, it is better to choose a site for planting with a sufficient amount of sunlight, where the soil is sandy loam, with good drainage. Then it will bloom even longer and more abundantly. Before planting, you need to dig up the soil well, you can fertilize it with compost or other fertilizer.
You can plant anaphalis by seeds or dividing.
The most popular breeding method is seed. In early spring, seedlings need to be grown from them. This is done very simply, even a beginner can do it. It is necessary to sow superficially and be sure to cover, you can film or glass. But seedlings should be transplanted into open ground either in the fall, in September, or at the beginning of next spring. If you plant anaphalis seeds immediately in a flower garden, then you can do this in May, early June. At the beginning of autumn, the bush must be dug up and divided, and these new seedlings must be planted in the holes. In this case, keep an average distance of 35 cm from each other. Remember to straighten the roots if they get tangled.
Anafalis: caring for him
Anafalis is very unpretentious to external conditions. Diseases and pests rarely affect this flower. Weeds are also rarely found in flower beds where this plant is. Since these bushes are very frost-hardy, they do not need to be covered for the winter and in cold areas.
Additional fertilizing during the season can be omitted if compost was added during planting in the ground.
Anafalis is a very drought-resistant plant, so you don't need to water it often. But young, newly planted plants really need moisture, and systematically. And also watch how the bush grows. If necessary, be sure to shorten the shoots, do not forget to remove the dried inflorescences.
