Alycha Ariadna was bred by B.L. Nikitin, G.G. Nikiforova, I.N. Zolotukhina and L.A. Deineka by splicing the other two varieties - Zolotaya Loshitskaya and Leningradskaya Krasnaya. The creation took place on the basis of the All-Russian Research Institute of Genetics and Breeding named after V.I. Michurin. The variety was added to the register for the Central Black Earth Region in 2001.

Ariadne's cherry plum tree grows quickly, branches grow sparsely, in tiers; the crown is in the form of a pyramid, with a lot of leaves. Branches are rather long, even, dark brown in color. They have a small number of medium-sized, yellow lentils. The eyes are large, deviate slightly from the shoot. The leaves are light green, also large, long, with a pointed tip, without roughness on the surface. The plate is flat and smooth. The edge of the leaf has a fine serration. Stipules are medium-sized, the same color as the leaf itself. The stalk is elongated, with a pronounced anthocyanin. On the surface there are small, reddish-black glands. The flowers are large, white. Bears fruit using perennial processes and branches with inflorescences.
The fruits of the cherry plum Ariadne are dark red, small, weighing from 4.6 g to 5.5 g, round, slightly flattened, with a depression at the top for the cutting. There are few hypodermic eyes, the skin is dense. The pulp is red, well filled with juice, sinewy. The juice is perfectly pigmented. The berries are sweet, the tasting score is 5 points. The fruit contains 17.45% dry matter, 14.25% sucrose, 0.7% free acids, as well as 330 mg / 100 mg of P-active catechins and 10.75 mg / 100 g of ascorbic acid. The fruits are suitable for transportation; the stalk is rather long and thickened. The knuckle is small, easily detaches from the pulp. In terms of application, the variety is suitable both for fresh consumption and after heat treatment in various offal.
Advantages and disadvantages
The advantages of Ariadne cherry plum include good tolerance to winter frosts, a high level of taste and quality of fruits and a large number of them when harvested, quick and early ripening of berries in conditions of proper care.
There were no drawbacks in the Ariadna cherry plum variety after long-term cultivation.
