Under natural conditions, this plant grows in thickets, in clearings, forest edges, in areas with a sufficient amount of sunlight near bushes and trees.
The flowering process takes place at the end of the spring season and the beginning of the summer season.
Used part. Prepare the entire aerial part of the herbaceous from the beginning of the flowering process until the time of the fruit fall, cutting with a sharp knife or sickle, but without pulling it out of the soil with your hands; parts with no foliage of stems are most often not used. The resulting plant is dried urgently without admitting direct sunlight.
Plant application
Quite often, this representative of herbaceous crops is used for medical purposes among the common people, especially in Transbaikalia, where it is prescribed for dropsy disease, as a cardiac drug, to achieve a diuretic effect, for diseases of the stomach and nervous system, and so on. This plant includes cardiac glycosides, which have a positive effect on heart, cardiovascular failure, and is considered an analogue of the spring-type adonis. But the effect of this plant is weaker (Hammerman et al., 1963; Vereshchagin et al., 1959), which means that when using the plant for medicinal purposes, it is necessary to make the necessary recalculation.
