4 compulsory garden treatments for diseases and pests
Content:
Spring has come and gardeners have a lot of work to do, with the weather improving, worries become more and more. Despite the wonderful flowering of trees and other plants, the problems associated with pests and diseases do not disappear anywhere, because there are a great many of them. Treating the garden in spring with chemicals helps keep trees healthy all year round.
But there are many different ways to get rid of pests and diseases.
At what time do garden treatments begin?
The problem with diseases and pests can be solved, but this is possible only with regular spraying, since a one-time spraying will not help anything, and if it gets better, then without repeated spraying the wind will bring a new disease. In springtime, plants need to be sprayed four times.
Garden processing can be started only after the establishment of warm weather and should not be delayed, because diseases and pests develop and spread quickly enough.
The importance of the first garden treatment
The very first spraying is simply necessary, it must be carried out at the beginning of spring, even before the buds swell. During this period, you can use strong drugs, since their plants will not absorb into themselves, as they are in a state of hibernation. It should be borne in mind that buds swell in different plants at different times, and therefore, in this matter, one must be very careful not to harm the plant.
A mixture of copper sulfate and lime is suitable for use, it is also called "Bordeaux liquid". You can either buy it in the store or make it yourself. When spraying for the first time, it is recommended to use a 3% solution. You can use a urea solution, only it must be concentrated, for this they take 700 grams of urea and 10 liters of water. Iron vitriol is also suitable; to prepare the solution, you will need 500 grams of vitriol and 10 liters of water.
The second treatment of the garden from pests
The second spraying has a special name "green cone". It immediately becomes clear that it should be carried out after the swelling of the plant buds. During this period, the kidneys are very susceptible to diseases, therefore, in order to prevent the appearance of pests, the same preparations can be used as in the first spraying, only in lower concentrations. When using Bordeaux liquid, it should be diluted to 1%.
Third garden treatment
During the period of emergence of the buds, a third spraying should be carried out, but the buds should be closed. In use, you can use the same drugs, but only pay attention to the active substance. Indeed, in many preparations, the composition contains the same substance, and when spraying it is recommended to alternate the active substances.
Fourth treatment of the garden after flowering
The last spraying is carried out after the flowering of the plant, it is done using the same preparations.
Spraying tips
1. At the very first spraying, it is worth treating the entire garden, otherwise diseases or pests can be transferred to untreated plants.
2. Do not delay with spraying, and do it only relying on the weather and the phase of the plant.
3. It is recommended to use preparations that do not harm pollinators, animals and humans.
4. Spraying should be done on the whole plant (full height and width).
